Luis Almeida successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Electrical and Computer Engineering specialty of Computers and Electronics on the 5th July 2023.

The thesis presented is entitled "Towards Telepresence in Human-Centered Communications and Robot Teleoperation - 3D Reconstruction and Immersive Interfaces" and was supervised by Professors Paulo Menezes and Jorge Dias.

Maria Rita Nogueira successfully defended her doctoral thesis in Contemporary Art on the 27th June 2023.

The thesis submitted to the Arts College of the University of Coimbra and presented is entitled "Dança e Interação: Uma proposta sensorial no âmbito performatico e expositivo" and was supervised by Professors Paulo Menezes and José Maçãs de Carvalho.

The 3rd IEEE International Conference on Digital Reality (ICIR2024) will take place at the University of Coimbra from 4 to 6 December 2024.

Prof. Paulo Menezes and Prof. Filippo Cavallo from the University of Firenze are organizing a Forum in IROS2024, one of the two major conferences in Robotics. This forum will create an opportunity to hear different views from 6 renowned speakers on how robots may positively shape humankind's future.
