runo Ferreira was born on the 14^th of September, 1996, in Coimbra, Portugal. He completed his Master's degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Coimbra, Portugal, in 2019. Since then he has been an active researcher and a PhD student with IS3L at the Institute of Systems and Robotics (ISR), Coimbra.

His main research interests include immersive technologies for motor rehabilitation, estimation of body pose, analysis of human motion, interpretation of the emotional state, as well as recognition and anticipation of human actions. Since September 2020, his research has been selected for funding by "Fundação para a Ciência e a Tecnologia" (FCT) under the aegis of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES) of the Government of Portugal.
