Maria Rita has a Ph.D in Contemporary Art from the Arts College of the University of Coimbra. Previously she had graduated and obtained her M.Sc in Design and Multimedia, from the Department of Informatics Engineering, University of Coimbra. Since then she has been developed knowledge in the digital environment that allowed her to think about their integration in different areas. Her research interests focus on user experience, interface, human-computer interaction, and its application to multidisciplinary works, such as Arts, Design, Health. She is currently attending the Doctoral Program in Contemporary Arts at the University of Coimbra. In this context, her research has been selected for funding by the Foundation for Science and Technology (FCT) under the aegis of the Ministry of Science, Technology and Higher Education (MCTES) of the Government of Portugal. Previously, Maria Rita researched at the Center for Research in Territory, Architecture, and Design from Lisbon (CITAD), where she integrated the User Experience Design (UxD) Lab.
